Most every human being is addicted to something as a way of distracting oneself from fully accepting what is and living in the present moment. Addictions to love, sex, food, drugs, shopping, exercise, television, information, social media, work, etc. Contemplate your actions to determine which are mindless versus mindful. Observe what happens.
